Just like in the Netherlands, the technology industry in Germany has difficulty increasing diversity in the workplace. The Women in tech session at the Hannover Messe 2023 outlines the importance and added value of women in Dutch and German industry. The commitment and visibility of female role models is important in order to attract women to the Dutch and German manufacturing industry. By sharing knowledge, experiences and best practices, we can learn from each other.
Diversity and inclusion in the workplace is of great social and economic importance. Research shows that teams with a diverse composition perform better: they are more innovative, achieve better results and have a higher job satisfaction than teams that are not or hardly diverse in composition. In addition, companies that pursue a targeted policy on diversity and inclusion are better able to fill their vacancies.
