Innovation boost programme for SMEs (MIT)
SMEs must innovate continuously to stay competitive at the top. The government also sees this as a priority. So the Netherlands Investment Agency (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland/RVO) has set up the MIT scheme for regional and top sectors, and other initiatives, to boost innovation among small and medium-sized enterprises. The RVO has created various instruments for this purpose and two are offered by Holland High Tech (TKI HTSM).
Human Capital Agenda
Together with all the other top sectors, we aim to ensure a sufficient number of qualified employees who will continue to learn, grow and develop in line with technological innovation throughout their lives. Our joint ambition is set out in the 'Samen aan de slag' Roadmap for Human Capital Top Sectors 2020 - 2023. A ‘future-proof’ labour force is the main prerequisite for a thriving economy and positive societal dynamics.
Holland High Tech acts as an accelerator of the overall innovation process. Through collaboration in the innovation helix and our specific focus on key enabling technologies, we create knowledge and solutions that contribute to valuable innovations domestically and abroad. Dutch solutions to global issues.
Knowledge and Innovation Agenda for Key Enabling Technologies
Key enabling technologies are essential resources for solving societal challenges and make a major contribution to the economy. The Agenda for Key Enabling Technologies expresses the joint ambition of all the top sectors in the area of technology development. These key enabling technologies are widely applicable and have significant impact on innovations in different sectors. They are radically changing the way we live, learn, innovate, work, and produce, and provide opportunities to solve problems in society.
Knowledge and Innovation Agenda for Security
Holland High Tech is responsible for coordinating the implementation of the Agenda for Security. Under the direction of the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Justice and Security, eight missions have been defined within the theme of Security that require (applied science) innovations. This preparatory work was carried out in close collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Change Policy, the top sectors, knowledge institutions and the business community. The overarching ambition is to always stay one step ahead of (potential) opponents: ‘always ahead of the threat’ with smart solutions that support a safe and secure society.
Knowledge and Innovation Agenda for High Tech Systems and Materials
This Knowledge and Innovation Agenda combines the priorities of the 2017 coalition agreement with the Top Sector's experience gained in public-private partnerships. It identifies opportunities for technologies within the mission-driven innovation policy and the concrete action plans in relation to societal themes in national and regional agendas. It is also a solid knowledge base for application-oriented research on key technologies, supported by policy on the deployment of ‘human capital’, internationalisation and marketing. The Agenda will be updated during 2022.
