The first SME Defence call for proposals will open on 5 January 2026 at 12:00 PM. In this call, we challenge high-tech entrepreneurs to collaborate with research organizations over a two-year period on innovative dual-use projects in the Netherlands, covering the areas of space, quantum, and smart materials from the Defence Strategy for Industry and Innovation 2025-2029. The goal of this call is to connect more high-tech SMEs with the Defence innovation missions. A maximum of 100 projects can be submitted. On 3 December 2025 we will host an online information session for those interested in this call.

For whom

This informationsession is aimed at high-tech SME participants. These are innovative micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that focus on the development of technologies and applications of advanced (key) technologies in the innovation domains. Often high-tech SMEs are in the growth phase start-up or scale-up. More requirements and information can be found in the full call text on the call page.
