ChemistryNL makes approx. €500,000 available for projects that realize innovations in the field of circularity of consumer and/or consumer goods. At the same time, a call is opened for projects in the field of critical raw materials. More than €500,000 has also been reserved for this call. Projects can be submitted no later than January 23, 2025.
Through these two calls, ChemistryNL wants to stimulate innovations around circularity and critical raw materials and specifically calls on young researchers and SMEs to submit applications.
Circularity of consumer goods
This call concerns projects that realize innovations in the field of circularity through research within the chemical and/or biobased field. The projects must contribute to socially relevant challenges. The intended solutions are preferably higher than recycling on the R ladder. The call is specifically aimed at circularity of consumer and consumer goods. This could include circularity of consumer goods such as clothing, bags, disposable cups, electronics or medical disposals. Projects that specifically focus on circularity of packaging materials are excluded from this call.
Critical raw materials
This call is open to projects that contribute to the availability of critical raw materials for the Netherlands. The innovations can focus on the recycling and reuse of critical raw materials in products, extending the lifespan of products or the development of alternatives that require less critical raw materials for a product or process.
