From 18 to 24 May, a Dutch delegation of experts in the field of high-tech and digitalisation will be on an economic mission in Tokyo and Osaka. The aim is to explore cooperation opportunities in Japan's advanced technology sectors. Peter Stolk, chairman of Holland High Tech, and Naomie Verstraeten, Chief Innovation, Technologies & Markets at Brainport Development, are the mission leaders of track HT1: Deeptech Equipment (semiconductors, photonics, quantum).
The first days of the mission were entirely devoted to meetings with leading players in the Japanese high-tech industry. For example, the delegation visited the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Dutch embassy in Japan, the Institute of Science Tokyo (Science Tokyo) and the Semiconductor Equipment Association of Japan (SEAJ).
Minister of Economic Affairs, Dirk Beljaarts, and a wide range of professionals from knowledge institutions, the business community and other government representatives participated in this mission.
