Who are we?

Holland High Tech, also known as the top sector High Tech Systems and Materials, allows innovation power to grow. We contribute to solving urgent transitions and the major social challenges we face, in the Netherlands and the rest of the world. And that requires clout! That is why we are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Innovation Analyst who wants to work in and for innovation and technology in the high-tech, systems and materials sector. Will you join our small-scale, experienced team?

Every year, as Holland High Tech, we distribute more than €45 million in innovation funds from the Ministry of Economic Affairs for public-private partnerships. In this, research institutions and companies work together on innovation. We coordinate, among other things, our multi-year strategic programs and projects, our own calls and calls in collaboration with other organizations. Furthermore, we coordinate the Knowledge and Innovation Agendas Key Technologies (KIA ST) and Safety (KIA V).

Our sector is constantly evolving. For example, we are maximizing innovation in key technologies at national and international level. As an Innovation Analyst, you delve into current issues and provide a crystal-clear picture of them. Where can we improve? What are the considerations and implications? And how can we as a top sector help with this? In this way, you lay the foundation for well-considered decisions and important changes. Together with colleagues and innovation partners, you ensure that the Netherlands remains a leader in key technologies. A job with impact!

What exactly will you be doing?

As an Innovation Analyst, you will help determine the future of the Dutch high-tech sector. You will support our chairman, the two-person board of directors and the program managers in the development and implementation of policy. Your work is varied: from conducting desk research and analyzing trends and developments that influence policy to contacting ministries and our innovation partners about developments and backgrounds in the sector.

Your duties

  • Supporting the board and program management in developing and implementing policy plans
  • Analyzing trends in technologies and economics, and translating them into insightful reports and advice
  • Drafting policy notes and presentations
  • Providing input for collaborations between companies, research organizations and governments
  • Providing insight into national and international programs and partnerships

What do we expect from you?

  • You are enthusiastic about innovation and key technologies and their social and economic impact
  • You would like to the battle at the top sector High Tech Systems and Materials
  • You see the value of working together to achieve impact with innovation
  • You have experience in a similar position for a (semi-)government organization or an environment where people work in public-private partnerships, nationally or internationally
  • You are analytically strong and able to translate complex information clearly and convey it both orally and in writing in Dutch and English
  • You get things done, are independent and can distinguish between main and secondary issues
  • You stand for quality, dot the i's and cross the t's, keep your agreements and help others to do the same
  • You make contact easily and also enjoy building and maintaining relationships with people from different organizations
  • You have HBO/WO level

What do we offer?

You will be employed by an organization with a large network. An organization that is in full development and that achieves a major social and economic impact. You work in a small, friendly team with a lot of space and responsibility. We will of course support you in your development.

Hybrid working is our standard. What does that mean? You divide your work between the office, working from home and wherever else you want to work. We have an office in Utrecht and are also regularly in the Eindhoven region. We are looking for someone for 32 to 36 hours a week. We offer a temporary appointment for a period of one year, with the prospect of permanent employment if performance is good.

And what do you earn?

We offer a nice salary that grows with your performance (indication: € 4,000 - 5,000 gross per month plus holiday pay, end-of-year bonus, pension and travel expenses based on a public transport business card, 1st class). You will also receive a laptop and telephone allowance.
