Forming Technology Forum 2025: Hybrid Modelling in Forming Processes
Forming Technology Forum 2025 focuses on hybrid models for forming processes: a combination of models based on physical principles and purely data-driven models. Applications range from fast, physics-informed simulations to digital twins and real-time process control. The two-day programme brings together researchers and professionals in materials science, modelling and process control, and consists of plenary sessions with room for in-depth discussion.
Topics:
- Physics informed neural networks (PINNs)
- Thermodynamics-based neural networks (TANNs)
- Digital twins & soft sensors
- AI combined with FEM
- Use of real-world and synthetic data for training
Confirmed speakers:
- Prof. Dirk Mohr, – Prof. Dirk Mohr, Head of the Institute for Virtual Manufacturing, ETH Zurich (Switzerland)
- Prof. Benjamin Klusemann, Professor of Production Technology and Systems, Leuphana University Lüneburg (Germany)
- Prof. Mathias Liewald, Director of the Institute of Metal Forming Technology, University of Stuttgart (Germany)
- Dr. Mats Sigvant, R&D Specialist at AutoForm and Adjunct Professor at Blekinge Institute of Technology (Sweden)
