On Friday 10 October 2025, the annual Smart Materials & Manufacturing Industry Day will take place at the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht. This networking and community-building event is dedicated to smart materials and manufacturing within Defence and industry.

The Industry Day is intended for entrepreneurs, researchers and other professionals active in the field of smart materials, manufacturing and defence-related innovation.

• Celebrating what has been achieved over the past year, with the spotlight on the winners of the Strategic Defence Innovation Research call Smart Materials, use case Landing Craft, and an explanation of how this trajectory will continue.
• Information on ecosystem development in the field of Smart Materials & Manufacturing within Defence.
• Engaging in various break-out sessions to discuss the opportunities that lie ahead for the future.
• Practical tips on what it means to do business with Defence and learning from the experiences of fellow entrepreneurs presenting on stage.
