NWO makes funds available for knowledge institutions that want to perform joint research with public and private co-funders. Through the call for proposals `Demand-Driven Partnerships for Consortia 2023 (KIC)' a shared knowledge and/or development question can be addressed. The online information meeting offers background information and room for questions.

Aim of the call

For the call for proposals ‘Demand-Driven Partnerships for Consortia 2023 (KIC)' NWO is looking for knowledge institutions that want to collaborate with public and private co-funders to conduct research on a shared knowledge and/or development question that fits within one or more Knowledge- and innovation agendas (KIAs). This call is part of the NWO research programme Knowledge and Innovation Covenant (KIC), aimed at groundbreaking innovative solutions with societal and economic impact.

In this call for proposals consortia can apply for a minimum of 1,500,000 and a maximum of 5,000,000 euros in terms of NWO funding. With that NWO funds a maximum of 50% of the total cash part of the project budget; the rest of the funding should come from co-funding by public and private parties.
