EVAR is the preferred treatment for abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA), but long-term success hinges on sac shrinkage, a key marker of favorable outcomes.
Using high-tech, AI based, image analysis, this project emphasizes the urgent need to understand aneurysm remodeling, focusing on critical questions: How do the type of EVAR device, anatomical parameters (e.g., aortic neck characteristics), and device placement (e.g., positioning) influence sac shrinkage?
The study targets the TREO endograft, aiming to improve preoperative patient stratification. Through AI-driven image analysis, findings will advance biomaterials science and AAA care, ultimately reducing complications, reinterventions and related costs (medical costs and work incapacity), thus enabling more personalized treatment strategies.
