This scheme via Regieorgaan SIA encourages the development of new partnerships in the field of circular economy between SMEs and/or and colleges, universities or other knowledge institutions. The partnerships conduct exploratory, practice-oriented research into (innovation around) the circular economy. The round closes on March 14, 2023.
The call is in line with the Knowledge and Innovation Agenda Circular Economy, part of the KIA Energy Transition & Sustainability. The KIA Circular Economy has 3 long-term mission-driven innovation programs:
- Design for circularity
- Circular raw materials and processes
- Trust, behavior and acceptance
The applications must also be in line with the transition agendas of the government-wide program Netherlands Circular in 2050. This program focuses on a fully circular economy in which the use of primary raw materials is reduced by designing products more efficiently and using and reusing materials as much as possible.
