A lot has happened around battery technology on a national level, such as drawing up a National Action Agenda and a National Growth Fund proposal is currently being worked on. To further shape this national approach, Brainport Development, RAI Automotive Industry NL and regional development company Oost NL are joining forces. Together they increase the capacity and thus the existing power. With this expansion, the Battery Competence Center is renamed Battery Competence Cluster – NL.

On 17 January, Brainport Development, RAI Automotive Industry NL and Oost NL signed a cooperation agreement in which the partners confirmed their joint commitment and capacity in the program office. Oost NL now officially joins the Battery Competence Cluster – NL and uses capacity and resources to realize the ambitions.
Theo Föllings, Director of Business Development at Oost NL: "From Oost NL we are tackling the topic 'Battery systems for grid stabilization'. The Eastern Netherlands has a strong cluster of companies in this area. Our aim is to develop this nationally. That is why the other eight regional development agencies are also ready behind us to contribute to the development of this ecosystem."
