Digital infrastructure is of vital importance to the Netherlands. It is therefore necessary that future communication networks are even faster, more reliable and more secure. To achieve this, far-reaching collaboration is required between public and private parties, aimed at research and development of the next generation of communication networks, in particular 6G. The first steps in this direction have already been taken. Together with partners, TNO is realizing the Future Networks Services (FNS) growth fund proposal that was submitted in February 2023.
Collaborating on 6G in the FNS growth fund proposal
TNO leads the FNS growth fund proposal and is the leader of the program line “leading applications”. The aim of this program is to build a leading Dutch and therefore also European position through R&D&I in specific and interconnected parts of 6G: intelligent components, intelligent networks and leading applications in important sectors.
