The new round of funding instrument Perspectief is expected to open in July or August. Researchers from universities, colleges and TO2 institutions, companies and social organizations who want to work in consortia on technological innovation can submit proposals again. Between 2 and 5 million euros is available per research project with a maximum duration of six years.
About Perspective
Perspective is an NWO programme, funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. The program challenges researchers to work in collaboration with companies and social organizations on technological innovations with social impact and thereby create economic opportunities for the Netherlands. The multidisciplinary studies focus on major societal challenges and key technologies and thus contribute to the Ministry's Mission-driven Top Sectors and Innovation policy.
Within Perspective, researchers can submit an annual application that fits within the Knowledge and Innovation Agendas (KIAs) of the four societal challenges and the key technologies. They are given the opportunity to set up an extensive research project and to build or further develop a cross-disciplinary consortium. The research projects have an explicit focus on application. By stimulating close and sustainable collaborations between different researchers and social partners, the chance of applying the knowledge developed is increased. Between 2 and 5 million euros are available per research project. Awarded projects have a maximum duration of six years.
