Maarten Tossings joined the board from his role as member of the Executive Board and Chief Operating Officer at TNO, where he has helped direct the development of applied research in the Netherlands since 2019. With his background in the Ministry of Defence and his keen eye for strategy, governance, and implementation, he made a significant contribution to positioning Holland High Tech as a connecting link between government, knowledge institutions, and businesses.
As Managing Director of Bronkhorst High-Tech, Henk Tappel brought his extensive experience in the high-tech industry. He is known for his practical, entrepreneurial approach and his focus on collaboration within the supply chain. In doing so, he visibly contributes to strengthening the high-tech ecosystem and connecting with innovative manufacturing companies.
Holland High Tech sincerely thanks Maarten Tossings and Henk Tappel for their involvement, critical questions, and constructive contributions to the board. Their efforts have helped lay the foundation for the next phase, in which key technologies and market-oriented innovation will converge even more emphatically.
The Executive Council Dinner itself offered ample opportunity for informal discussions with representatives from the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the business community, industry partners, and knowledge institutions about current developments in industrial policy, the National Technology Strategy and the ten action agendas, as well as the new focus on six markets. The evening was characterized by open discussions, shared concerns about the current complex challenges, and optimism about the opportunities for the Dutch high-tech sector in the coming years.
