The first SME Defence call for 2025 has closed. The significant interest and enthusiasm from SMEs demonstrates the sheer number of strong ideas in defense-related innovation. Holland High Tech is delighted with the overwhelming enthusiasm and immediate response from high-tech SMEs. A total of 40 applications were submitted in the area of dual-use in the NLD areas of Space, Quantum, and Smart Materials. A total of 42 SMEs and 10 research organizations, including four universities of applied sciences, were involved. We received many excellent and promising proposals.
What's next
- The coming period will be dedicated to assessing all submitted applications. All projects will receive a notification from us between 23 and 27 February and 2026.
- A maximum of 30 selected projects will be invited to submit a detailed project plan. The deadline for submission is Friday 27 March 2026, at noon.
- The final project recipients will be announced between Tuesday 19 and 26 May 2026.
