We have received the sad news that Ronny van ’t Oever, co-founder of Micronit and former member of our Roadmapcouncil, has passed away. Ronny van ’t Oever (50) was the visionary founder of Micronit. He was driven by his belief in a future in which people can grow old healthily. With Micronit, he wanted to have a lasting, positive impact on healthcare. Micronit, founded in 1999, grew into a world-leading company in medical chip technology. With Micronit’s technology, diseases such as cancer and the effectiveness of medicines against them can be accurately investigated.

Leo Warmerdam, General Manager Holland High Tech:

We got to know Ronny as an entrepreneur with a vision, a positive, practical no-nonsense thinker. He has been very committed to the technological roadmap nanotechnology for many years within Holland High Tech, in which he contributed to innovation through public-private partnerships. In his role in the technological roadmap nanotechnology, he was also a member of our Roadmap Council for three years, until his illness made him decide to change course. We wish Ronny's relatives and all colleagues at Micronit much strength in the coming period.
