The new, now tenth, edition of TO2MORROW, the magazine of the TO2-federation Deltares, the Netherlands Aerospace Centre (NLR), the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands (MARIN), TNO, and Wageningen University & Research (WUR), has been published. This anniversary issue offers an inspiring selection of innovative projects working towards a sustainable, clean, and safe future for the Netherlands. From groundbreaking energy technologies and smart materials to solutions for resilient infrastructure, TO2MORROW demonstrates how applied research directly contributes to societal progress and economic growth.
The magazine demonstrates how collaboration between government, knowledge institutions, and businesses leads to concrete results. The anniversary issue not only marks ten editions of TO2MORROW, but also ten years of stories about innovation, creativity, and impact.
Attention to key enabling technologies
This anniversary issue features two striking examples of key enabling technologies: an innovative measurement system based on photonic chip technology, which allows for the continuous monitoring of nitrogen emissions on a farm's premises (both inside and outside the barn). And Scenexus, a TNO startup offering an urban planning "digital twin" as a SaaS solution, enabling rapid, data-driven calculations for urban decision-making.
