Systems Engineering Symposium 2026
On 29 January 2026, the Casimir Institute, in collaboration with Brainport Development and NXTGEN Hightech, will host the Systems Engineering Symposium 2026. This year's theme is "Shaping the Future of Competitiveness."
While last year's symposium explored complexity as a key driver for systems engineering, this year's focus is on how systems engineering can strengthen Dutch and European competitiveness in a rapidly changing global economy.
As industry faces increasing pressure to innovate and adapt, the demand for skilled systems engineers is growing. This symposium will address how we can better train and empower the next generation of professionals to meet these challenges.
For whom
The symposium is aimed at professionals and students from the technical sector involved in product and system development, such as engineers, designers, testers, R&D specialists, project managers, and system architects, with a Bachelor's degree or higher, working in multidisciplinary teams, focusing on technologies such as mechatronics, artificial intelligence, data science, and their integration. The symposium brings together experts from industry, knowledge institutions, and government to discuss the latest developments and challenges in systems engineering.
