The Board of Holland High Tech has appointed two new board members: Ingrid Romijn and Sebo Hofkamp. They succeed Henk Tappel and Maarten Tossings.
Ingrid Romijn is co-founder and CEO of Q*Bird, a company focused on the development of technologically advanced quantum network solutions for secure communication. Sebo Hofkamp is COO and a member of the Executive Board at TNO, one of the leading research and innovation organisations in the Netherlands. In addition, he is Chair of the Defence Research Council.
The day-to-day professional experience of both board members is therefore a valuable addition to Holland High Tech. Romijn brings expertise from the commercial application of quantum technology and from building technology companies operating in highly regulated and technically challenging markets. Hofkamp contributes extensive experience in connecting applied research, technology and (inter)national collaboration, with a focus on innovation in complex environments such as defence and security.
The professional domains in which the new board members are active are complementary to the expertise of the current board. Moreover, they closely align with the National Technology Strategy (in which Quantum Technologies is one of the ten priority technologies), as well as with the NLD domains related to Defence. In doing so, Holland High Tech further strengthens its position as a connector at the intersection of technological innovation, collaboration, ecosystem development and addressing societal challenges, with an eye on both the current context and the future.
