On June 18, 2025, The Netherlands Aerospace Group (NAG) and Airbus Netherlands B.V. have signed a strategic partnership during the Paris Air Show. NAG joins the Airbus Tech Hub in the Netherlands — a platform dedicated to accelerating breakthroughs in aerospace research, technology and innovation through close collaboration with the local ecosystem. The objective is to build strong networks that push the boundaries of aerospace technology while shaping the future of aviation.
Strengthening the Dutch position
This partnership represents a key step in structurally embedding the Netherlands within Airbus’s international value chain. With NAG on board, the Airbus Tech Hub NL benefits from the combined expertise of the Dutch aerospace ecosystem. This enhances the Hub’s capacity to respond effectively to both regional capabilities and global demands. Through the Tech Hub, Dutch companies, research institutions and public bodies can participate in joint innovation projects, technology exchange and new programme development.
Paul Eijssen (NAG):
This partnership demonstrates that the Netherlands genuinely has the potential to make a difference as a player in the global aerospace sector. By joining the Airbus Tech Hub in the Netherlands, NAG strengthens the overall innovative capacity of the ecosystem. It marks an important step towards a sustainable, competitive aviation sector in which government, industry and academia work in alignment. This collaboration enables our members to contribute meaningfully at the forefront of Airbus’s value chain — in both vision and execution.
Building an innovative ecosystem
NAG’s entry into the Airbus Tech Hub creates a crucial link between industrial players, academic institutions and public partners. This connection opens up new opportunities to address the sector’s technological challenges collectively. The Airbus Tech Hub is a public-private initiative involving Airbus, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and now NAG — working together to accelerate aerospace innovation.
This partnership is fully aligned with the shared strategic direction set by the sector and the Dutch government, notably through the Aviation in Transition programme. A sustained public investment is essential to maintain progress in innovation, knowledge development and long-term international competitiveness.
Showcasing the Dutch ecosystem at the Paris Air Show
Over twenty Dutch aerospace companies are represented at the Paris Air Show. Through NAG and the Airbus Tech Hub, they are engaging directly with international opportunities and collaborative ventures. Attendees also include representatives from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK), KLM and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
