As part of the Franco-Dutch Economic Year 2025, representatives from the Netherlands Embassy visited Toulouse last week to engage with key institutions in the aerospace and space sectors. Meetings were held with the Centre National d'Études Spatiales (CNES), Campus des Métiers et des Qualifications Aéronautique et Spatial, Lycée Airbus, the University of Toulouse, and ISAE-SUPAERO.
Simultaneously, the delegation joined a programme organised by the Netherlands Aerospace Group (NAG), which included Dutch experts in composites and industrialisation visiting Airbus headquarters and Collins Aerospace.
The visit aimed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in high-tech innovation and industrial partnerships, especially in aerospace; a sector in which the Occitanie region is a European leader.
The discussions also built on the Airbus Tech Hub initiative, launched in the Netherlands in 2023, which showcases Dutch expertise in areas such as automation, innovation, and advanced manufacturing. From automated production to non-destructive testing, Dutch companies and institutions play a key role in contributing to a more sustainable aerospace industry.
This visit also serves as a prelude to a broader economic mission to Occitanie later in 2025, designed to foster collaboration between Dutch and French companies, research institutions, and governments across a range of sectors.
