With its National Technology Strategy (NTS), the Netherlands is focusing on ten key technologies that will fundamentally change how we live, work, and produce – from photonics and quantum technology to AI, semiconductors, and green chemistry. The goal: to strengthen innovation and strategic autonomy, in close collaboration between government, industry, and science. This is interesting for Germany because the Dutch approach complements its strong industry, with rapid application, applied research, and cross-border networks.
