Autumn congress Future-oriented metal and metal electro courses

Over the past four years, the MBO Council, the employers' organizations (FME and Koninklijke Metaalunie), the business (branch) schools, Holland High Tech and SBB have made every effort to reduce the training structure of more than 30 qualifications to 3 main streams: production technology, mechatronics. and engineering, including a total of 9 qualifications.

On September 29th. the SBB board has laid down the new structure. With the adoption by the SBB board, the development period comes to an end and a new phase starts, with the introduction in the coming school year 2023-2024. This revision provides scope for education and the business community to work together on attractive, future-oriented and more feasible training courses in the manufacturing industry for everyone. This will be kicked off during an autumn congress on 30 November.

What to expect

A fantastic milestone! But what impact does this have on the organisation of MBO education, company training, internships at accredited work placement companies and the students? And how can we as education and business successfully implement and further shape this in the short term?

The answers to these questions will be central during the autumn congress. You will be extensively informed about the reason for the revision, the content of the three new files and the underlying qualifications. You will also receive tools to apply these pragmatically in practice. For example, you will be taken along in the field of elaboration documents, teaching materials and examinations. In addition, you will be inspired by successful practical examples to shape education, there is extensive opportunity to network, and as education and business to brainstorm together about the interpretation of the renewed training structure metal and metal electro.
