Meeting 'Help I've been hacked'. Cyber resilience SME manufacturing industry

Cybercriminals are lurking. Companies are an increasingly interesting target for cybercriminals: companies work with (and are dependent on) ever-increasing amounts of data. The loss or unavailability of this data causes problems for business operations, continuity and image. Malicious parties like to abuse this dependency in a sneaky way and put a hefty price tag on the return or recovery of stolen data. The SME manufacturing industry is also increasingly being affected and, in their role as a supplier in the chain, are now also confronted with the NIS2 legislation. The revision of the Network and Information Security Directive (NIS2) is the new European cybersecurity legislation. This will apply in the Netherlands at the end of 2024.

What?

What if you discover one day that your company has been hacked? All computers are blocked with ransomware, no one can access the data anymore. In short, your company is held hostage. Employees cannot work, production is at a standstill, the feeling of powerlessness prevails.

Henk Breman, director of Breman Machinery, tells from his own experience how he tackled this.

Evelien Bras, director of The Cyber Partners, delves deeper into the European regulations in the field of cyber such as NIS2 and Cyra and the impact on cooperation with customers and suppliers.

Jochen den Ouden, Owner of Den Ouden Information Security, focuses on preventing security leaks by taking the right measures (what to protect and how: passwords, two-step verification, the usefulness of VPN, the role of employees, etc.). And what solutions are already available to work preventively. He then gets to work as an ethical hacker to show how accessible your system is.

This also requires better defense from the human side. Lucas van der Heide, Social psychologist cybersecurity at Secura shows through Insights from psychology how human behavior is structured and which buttons can be turned if we want to make people more resilient.

During this meeting, participants will receive useful tips on what to do if they are hacked. In addition to tips, participants will also receive a 'to do' but especially a 'not to do list' after the meeting.

For whom?
