Workshop Space meets Quantum
The end goal of quantum communication is the quantum internet, a network that will eventually connect quantum devices all over the world. With current technologies, a global quantum internet cannot happen. Losses in optical fiber prevent quantum communications over long distances, and satellite links are increasingly considered as a viable solution. With young and vivid ecosystems in quantum, photonics, and free space optics, the Netherlands is well positioned to bring its contribution to this global endeavor - and take advantage of this opportunity. Yet these ecosystems hardly know each other, and this is precisely what this workshop is about: having Space and Quantum meet each other.
TNO is pleased to invite you on the 27th of June for a workshop on quantum satellite communication to:
- Get to know each other
- Start sketching a global quantum internet enabled by space
- Outline its building blocks
- Map the individual interests of participating stakeholders
- TNO will also open its labs and take you through a tour in our quantum facilities and TNO satcom demos
- Location: TNO, Stieltjesweg 1, Delft, the Netherlands
- Time: 09:00-17:30
