Quantum Delta NL, in collaboration with NWO, is launching the second call for scientific quantum research. The call from the National Growth Fund Quantum Technology program is now open for applications, until April 13, 2023. This call implements the 'research and innovation' action line of the Quantum Delta NL programme, just like the first call. Approx. 10.4 million euros are available.
Purpose of the call
The goal of NWO and Quantum Delta NL is to realize the much-needed scientific and technological breakthroughs in the field of quantum technology. The call will be almost identical to the call in 2022. What is special about the call is that researchers who have recently obtained their PhD can apply for a personal research budget. The aim is to stimulate young talent in quantum technology. This was successful in the first round (four allocations from this category out of the sixteen allocations in total).
10.4 million euros
EUR 10.4 million is available in this second round. NWO uses the integral cost system for this, as in all programs of the National Growth Fund: NWO therefore reimburses the full costs of the personnel to be appointed. Researchers can submit applications for projects for one PhD student or one postdoc position that are completed no later than December 2028. For reasons of efficiency, the calls for 2023 and 2024 have been combined into one round. There will therefore be no call in 2024.
