From Enschede, Wageningen or Nijmegen, you can be in interesting German regions full of innovative power such as Münsterland, Ostwestfalen-Lippe or the Ems-Achse in about two hours, each with major strategic interests for the Netherlands. “Yet we still know far too little about each other how strong and versatile the high-tech industry on both sides of the border is. As a result, we miss opportunities.”
Hans Brouwers van Oost NL/GO4EXPORT is speaking. As an HTSM broker Germany, he crosses the border almost every week to better connect the eastern Netherlands with Germany, but especially Münsterland, Ostwestfalen-Lippe and the Ems-Achse. “Recently I took a group of German entrepreneurs on an inspirational tour through the eastern Netherlands. People were positively surprised about the high level of innovation of Dutch companies and how companies are pooling their innovative power, including with researchers from knowledge institutions, to arrive at the innovations of today and tomorrow.”
