The Ministers of Economic Affairs and Climate, Micky Adriaansens, and Finance, Sigrid Kaag, informed the House of Representatives about the 3rd investment round of the National Growth Fund. Between the 2nd of January and 3rd of February 2023, applicants could submit a proposal. New in this round was that partnerships of companies, knowledge institutions and other organizations could apply for a subsidy directly.
Applications: subsidy scheme and departmental
The subsidy applications were received by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). In line with other grant applications, the information on these proposals has now been decided. The proposals will be published as soon as the advisory committee has given its opinion.
Grant proposals
A total of 20 partnerships submitted a grant application, with a total of 501 grant applicants. This group applied for a total of more than € 2.5 billion in subsidy. Within the Knowledge Development field, 3 applications have been submitted, for a total of more than € 400 million. Within the research, development and innovation field, 17 parties submitted an application for approximately € 2.1 billion. The proposals are currently being screened; There may still be shifts within these 2 areas.
Departemental proposals
The departments submitted 27 proposals: 8 proposals for the Knowledge Development area and 19 proposals for Research, Development and Innovation. For Knowledge Development, the total requested contribution was approximately € 1.8 billion. For Research, Development and Innovation, €5.1 billion was requested.
