TINT Apeldoorn is the first techno hub for inclusive technology in the Netherlands. In this video report we have a conversation with part of the consortium of TINT Apeldoorn: the Knowledge Alliance Inclusion and Technology, Lucrato, Saxion University, IJssel Technology and VDL Weweler.
Inclusive technology
Inclusive technology offers support to people with a distance to the labor market to find a job and to make them sustainable employable. Inclusive technology is very important, because you use technology to make complex work accessible to people with disabilities.
''Inclusive technology can help to make a workplace more accessible so that an employee can still carry out complex work,'' says Tom Wijkamp (Coordinator Training, VDL Weweler).
Visiting TINT Apeldoorn
The importance of the Learning community TINT
In the Learning Community TINT, education, technology experts, innovation brokers, social work companies and employers work together with the knowledge alliance Inclusion and Technology to get and keep more people in work.
The mission of a TINT is therefore to support people with a distance to the labor market in finding work and to make more people employable in a sustainable way with the help of smart technology. With the hybrid teachers of TINT Apeldoorn, practice is brought to education. Both the educational institutions VDL Weveler and IJssel Technologie will therefore remain involved in this Learning Community.
Leendert Bos, Quartermaster Knowledge Alliance Inclusion and Technology:
A Learning community such as TINT is important for employers because they can actually see and learn and experiment there how new technology makes work accessible to people with disabilities. So employers gain access to a new target group."
