As Holland High Tech, we are committed to innovation for the circular transition. The Netherlands has the ambition to become 100% circular and the high-tech sector plays an important role in this. In the high-tech sector, a lot of value is added to the products. In order to retain this value in the circular chain as much as possible, we focus on high-quality circular strategies, such as re-manufacturing.
Core Group Circular Economy
In order to pay attention to circularity in the right way, a core group has been formed in which representatives of the entire high-tech ecosystem around circularity and raw materials meet regularly and advise on this. This core group in formation met in Utrecht in March to get to know each other and to discuss which topics the core group wants to focus on in the coming period.
In addition, the strategic program Circularity and Raw Materials has been launched, in which knowledge institutions and businesses will innovate in public-private partnerships in the coming years with financial support from HHT via the PPS innovation scheme. During the afternoon program, delegates from the knowledge institutions participating in the strategic program met to explore the frameworks of the strategic program. This program has a specific focus on re-manufacturing, a circular strategy in which much of the value of the product is retained, and critical raw materials, which are essential for the high-tech sector.
