The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) took place in Las Vegas from January 9 to 12. At this major tech fair, 70 Dutch start-ups and scale-ups were present in the NL Pavilion to find potential investors, customers or clients. The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate has reported extensively on the four-day CES.
Highlights CES 2024
On Tuesday, CES officially opened with the opening of the NL Pavilion by Gary Shapiro, Dirk Janssen and Prince Constantijn. Contracts were signed on Wednesday, including a major deal between Absolute Audio Labs and Renesas Semiconductor. SmartQare announced a strategic partnership with Philips. Diversity and inclusion received attention at the 'LGBTQ in Tech Meet-Up'. Thursday started with ScaleNL's 'Female Founders Breakfast', followed by visits to C Space and Las Vegas Convention Center. Friday, the last day, brought a relaxed atmosphere. Participants were encouraged to be active until the last minute. The Dutch start-ups and scale-ups were praised for their quality and the CES days were generally successful.
