In November, NAG organised an inspiring AI in Aviation event at Fokker Services Hoogerheide, in collaboration with Brainport Industries and hosted by Fokker Services Group. The event brought together thought leaders such as Paolo Monti (KLM) on line maintenance scheduling, Frits Hoeve (Brainport Industries) on AI in smart manufacturing, Henk Akkermans (World Class Maintenance) and Luca Casciola (Unified International) to explore the transformative power of AI in aviation.
At the kick-off of the event, we were welcomed by Edwin Poldermans from Fokker Services Group, followed by an introduction from Stephen Hands from Unified International, who is also the chair of the Task Force AI. The presentations were rich in insights, with Luca Casciola, Frits Hoeve, Paolo Monti and Henk Akkermans sharing their expertise on how AI is already shaping the aviation landscape, from improving safety to enhancing maintenance and optimizing operations.
From optimizing maintenance cycles to improving operational efficiency, the event emphasized how collaboration is key to unlocking the full potential of AI. The day was filled with dynamic discussions, insightful presentations and meaningful exchanges between experts, including TUDelft professors and senior leaders from top aviation companies. Attendees left with new perspectives, deeper connections and actionable insights. A true testament to the event’s success in fostering a rich learning experience.
Why attend events like this?
- Meet like-minded professionals in aviation and AI
