Organisations active in quantum technology, with a specific focus on aerospace applications, can now register to take part in an innovation mission to Southern Germany. The mission will take place from 14 to 16 October 2025 in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, offering a strategic opportunity to establish technological collaborations, exchange knowledge, and explore new market opportunities within the Southern German ecosystem. Registration is open until 21 August 2025.
Exploring quantum technology developments and applications is at the heart of this mission.
The programme includes visits to Airbus in Munich, DLR (the German Aerospace Center) in Ulm, and other relevant application-oriented institutes such as Fraunhofer. In addition, visits are planned to companies operating at the intersection of quantum technology and aerospace. Matchmaking, networking moments, and one-on-one meetings are an integral part of the programme.
The mission is aimed at Dutch entrepreneurs, professionals, knowledge institutions and researchers
active in the field of quantum technology with an interest in aerospace applications. The mission is organised by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the Innovation Attaché Network in Germany, and Quantum Delta NL.
Opportunities for quantum technology in Southern Germany
Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg are the wealthiest federal states in Southern Germany, with the highest percentage of private sector R&D investment relative to GDP. The region is home to many major technology players and is known as the birthplace of Germany’s SME-driven high-tech and engineering economy.
Germany is both a key partner and market for the development and application of quantum technology. This mission will focus in particular on opportunities in the aerospace sector.
This innovation mission offers organisations concrete opportunities to:
- gain insight into quantum developments and applications, with a focus on aerospace
- understand the ecosystem, innovation landscape, and opportunities in the quantum domain
- explore trends and opportunities for long-term (public-private) collaboration between knowledge institutions and industry in research and development
- connect Dutch innovative knowledge and technology with market opportunities in the region.
Registration is open until 21 August 2025.
