The Netherlands had a strong presence at JECWorld2025 , the International Composites Fair, with nearly 40 companies and research institutes showcasing its expertise and innovation in the field §. As part of the High Tech Systems & Materials Top Sector, composites are a key enabling technology. Through the NXTGEN Equipment growth fund program, the Netherlands provides Lightweight Solutions as a Service, driving the energy transition, societal impact, and job creation.
The Dutch§§ pavilion gathered 18 companies, serving as a hub for some established industry leaders while acting as a springboard for the internationalisation strategies of promising start- and scale-ups. The pavilion organised by CompositesNL attracted many visitors also thanks to insightful presentations from Dutch industry leaders, sparking engaging discussions and new connections.
The networking reception - organised by the Netherlands Innovation Network - featured the announcement by RAI automotive industry NL of the merger between ELA - European Lightweight Association and ELCA European Lightweight Cluster Alliance marking a significant step in European collaboration on lightweight materials, as well as the celebration of Innovation Awards § won by consortia with Dutch partners such as Curve Works, 10XL, SAM XL, Nederlands Lucht- en Ruimtevaartcentrum, TU Delft, GKN Fokker aerospace: a testament to the pioneering spirit within the NL composites industry .
Speakers Maret Reinders, from the NBSO Nantes and Martijn Adelaar, head of the Economic Department at our embassy, also delivered speeches on what they can offer to Dutch companies wanting to enter the French market.
