This project aims at providing a fully integrated CMOS radio front-end to digitizer that can cancel out-of-band interferers and provide full-duplex operation. By doing so, a single chip can provide a full RF-to-digital converter without the need of bulky SAW filters and at much lower power consumption and chip area.
Impact
NXP B.V. would like to use the technology developed in this project to develop and further advance the technology in applications e.g., communications, radar sensing by making their systems compact and energy and hardware efficient. A wideband radio together with digital conversion when implemented on a single chip would make the system less dependent on the availability of multiple chips.
