Boosting innovation in the SME sector
SMEs must innovate continuously to stay competitive at the top. The government concurs with this view. So the Netherlands Investment Agency (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland/RVO) has set up the MIT scheme for regional and top sectors, and other initiatives, to boost innovation among small and medium-sized enterprises. The RVO has created various instruments for this purpose and two are offered by Holland High Tech (TKI HTSM):
- Network Activities (NetwerkActiviteiten): master classes, workshops, conferences, networking
- Innovation Broker (InnovatieMakelaar): bespoke advice
Network Activities
As an SME, do you want to stay up-to-date with the latest innovations? You can visit one of the many Networking Activity events organised annually by one of the industry associations under Holland High Tech's umbrella. A Network Activity event is primarily intended for SMEs and always organised with the support of scientific research organisations, education and big business. A Network Activity may consist of master classes, workshops or conferences to promote knowledge sharing and networking among SME entrepreneurs.
