Together for a smart and sustainable future

Hannover Messe is the largest industrial fair in the world. During this edition, 4,000 companies show how climate neutrality can be achieved with electrification, digitalization and automation. They do this together as one industrial ecosystem. The Netherlands is a good example of an industrial ecosystem. Within the theme 'Together for a smart and sustainable future' we present this ecosystem at the NL Pavilion at Hannover Messe to Germany and to the rest of the world. Our ecosystem ensures that sustainable industry has energy worldwide, now and in the future. Minister Micky Adriaansens, from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, will also visit the Hannover Messe this year and will tour the NL Pavilion.

Participation in the NL Pavilion

The Netherlands is strong in developing and making climate-neutral technologies and digital systems. These technologies ensure a sustainable future and international autonomy. Some examples include smart machines for energy-efficient production, electrolysers for hydrogen production in industry, fuel cells and batteries for sustainable mobility.

Companies that develop, produce and use digital systems and technology as an integral value chain are important for a sustainable industry and society. These companies, the government, top sectors and knowledge institutes join forces in the NL Pavilion. In this pavilion in Hall 8 at Hannover Messe, the entire ecosystem comes together on 300 square meters. In addition to the NL Pavilion, there is a Dutch start-up & scale-up Pavilion in Hall 17.
