Last week, the International Semiconductor Industry was present at SEMICON Europe 2024, an event that took innovation, collaboration and knowledge sharing to new heights. High Tech NL looks back on a very successful edition where the NL Pavilion played a central role in connecting companies, networks and innovations. With the official opening of the event on Tuesday, visitors were welcomed to the NL Pavilion, where a wide range of Dutch participants and their cutting-edge technologies were presented.
Highlights of the event
A key highlight was the Meet & Match lunch on Wednesday 13 November, organised by the Netherlands Innovation Network Germany. This networking event brought together European companies and networks to exchange ideas and explore collaboration opportunities. As part of the event, a delegation from the Dutch Innovation Network Germany visited several stands, including Neways Electronics International NV, Trymax Semiconductor and Silicon Saxony, where they presented cutting-edge innovations and promoted cross-border synergies.
The Silicon Europe Alliance came together to shape the future of microelectronics and promote collaboration between European clusters. During the Drinks and Bites on Thursday 14 November, an interactive workshop was held at the joint stands of the Netherlands and Silicon Saxony, discussing topics such as strategy and competition within the EU semiconductor supply chain. This provided valuable insights into how Europe can strengthen its global position in the semiconductor industry.
Key highlights of the event:
- Discussions on European sovereignty in microelectronics, acceleration of R&D and international business development.
- A European workshop organised under the Silicon Eurocluster project, unveiling a booklet of 12 groundbreaking funded projects showcasing innovation and collaboration.
- Presentation of the Eurocluster Resilience Plan, providing partners with cutting-edge technologies and sustainable practices while strengthening the European electronics value chain.
