Holland High Tech NETWORK EVENT 2024

wednesday 3 july | 14:30 - 20:00 pm

Innovate and transform? Now more than ever!

We face major challenges; everyone recognizes it: circumstances change from day to day and from minute to minute. Who is the permanent value in this situation? That's us: the innovators. We continue to develop, we transform, for our future, for Europe and the rest of the world.

As a sector, we play a crucial role in the urgent transitions that are needed: developing a circular economy, the energy transition and the use of digitalization (including smart industry) and key technologies. Together we find solutions to social challenges.

Welcome! | 14:30 - 15:30

Arrive on time and find a contact from our large ecosystem to catch up with. We welcome you with a drink and something to eat.

Plenary programm | 15:30 - 17:30

During the Holland High Tech NETWORK EVENT 2024 this summer we will zoom in on the possibilities: how can we innovate and transform. We make the connections and share where we are now:

Status Quo of hightech

Figurehead Marc Hendrikse and director Leo Warmerdam will take you through:

  • the successes, the programs and calls that exist and that are coming soon
  • what we can do together to continue innovating
  • the possibilities where you as a company and knowledge institution can take action and connect
  • the National Technology Strategy and – with all the developments around us – the role of Holland High Tech based on our VISION 2030

Apply circular economy in your business

Keynote Jan Jonker is emeritus professor of Sustainable and Circular Entrepreneurship at Radboud University, Nijmegen (NL). His work focuses on shaping an economy around the four major challenges of our time: sustainability, quality of life, ecology and circularity. He looks at how this translates into business models. He now has 35 books and more than 250 publications to his name.

During his keynote, he will speak about the context, concept and possible business models of the circular economy using concrete business examples and he will make connections between the top sector High Tech Systems and Materials and the (manufacturing) industry.

Networking dinner & Market | 17:30 - 20:00

Networking diner

During our summer informal networking dinner there is plenty of time to catch up with connections from your network and to meet new people. So reserve some more time in your agenda.

Dinner is indoors and outdoors, with delicious food served from food trucks. Should the weather have other plans, we are of course prepared for that and have plenty of room inside.

Market Square

On the market square, National Growth Fund programs from rounds 1, 2 and 3 share their programs and where you as a knowledge institution and company can still connect.

Location: Werkspoorkathedraal

The Werkspoorkathedraal is a large factory hall in Utrecht. We encourage everyone to come by public transport. The location is a few minutes' walk from Utrecht Zuilen train station. This makes it ideal for traveling by train. The bus also stops nearby. Next to the main entrance there is also a place to park your bicycle.
