To further strengthen the relationship in the high-tech field and stimulate the formation of new transnational networks, JST and NWO are starting a joint research programme in the field of semiconductors, photonics, quantum and neuromorphic technologies. The call is expected to be published in the spring of 2025.
Purpose
The main objective of this collaboration between NWO and JST is to stimulate transnational research collaboration between the Netherlands and Japan in the field of unconventional information processing technologies. These countries have partly overlapping, but also complementary expertise and experience in high-tech areas. Collaboration between both countries is therefore essential for optimally utilizing the strengths of both countries.
Matchmaking meeting
An online matchmaking workshop will be held from Monday 25 November to Wednesday 27 November 2024 to bring researchers from Japan and the Netherlands into contact with each other.
