Climate Sustainability Health Security Mobility News Calls Digitalisation & Smart Industry Circular economy Energy transition Key enabling technologies

The call for proposals for the new round of the NWO Perspectief funding instrument is expected to open in July 2024. At that time, researchers from universities, universities of applied sciences and applied research organisations (TO2 institutes), companies and civil-society organisations that would like to participate in consortia devoted to technological innovation can once again submit proposals.

More information

The research projects must focus explicitly on the application of technical innovations in the context of the Knowledge and Innovation Agendas (KIAs) of the five societal challenges and focus on the Key Enabling Technologies and digitalisation. Within these parameters, researchers are able to further define their proposal freely.

Researchers, companies and civil society organisations submit a research proposal together. By encouraging close and sustainable collaboration between researchers in different disciplines and civil-society partners, the programme increases the potential for the application of the knowledge generated. This results in new economic opportunities for companies involved and an increased chance of social impact.

Each research project that is awarded funding will be allocated between 2 and 5 million euro. The maximum duration of a project is six years.

Information meeting

The call for proposals for the 2024/2025 funding round is expected to be published on the website of NWO in July. You will also find there the conditions for submitting an application, the budget and the deadlines.

There will be an online meeting about Perspectief on 3 September from 16:00 to 17:00hrs. Do you wish to register for this meeting? Or do you have any other questions about the programme? Contact NWO by e-mail at ttw-perspectief@nwo.nl.
